Arm Candy!!

Hey everyone today's topic is "arm candy".

Arm candy is when you stack a bunch of bracelets or watches together

to create a super layered vibe.

This trend is actually really in for the summer.

You can mix and match colours, metals and textures.

Personally I have been loving this trend and it has gotten me

back in to wearing bracelets. I have never really been a bracelet fan 

because my wrists are so small I could never get ones that fit.

This trend however will definitely get me looking for some cool bracelets 

to create my own arm candy.

Vintage Camera Decor

Hey everyone so lately I have really been liking the idea of using 

vintage cameras as cute little decor pieces.

Like pictured above the camera was used to add a bit of character to this shelf.

You can buy these cameras form garage sales,thrift stores or 

antique shops. 

I have a few that I would like to paint and display on a shelf.

I think it can give uniqueness to a room

and is an affordable way to decorate.

Sephora 18K nail polish??

Hey everyone have any of you heard of this new nail polish?

Sephora by OPI has come out with a limited edition

top coat with real 18K gold!!

When I fist heard this I though it was super cool, so I did a bit of research on it.

It is a clear top coat that has gold flakes in it.

You are to put it on top of another colour for an embellished look.

Because it's a top coat it prevents nail from chipping.

I personally think it's a cool idea but a bit over the top.

Why buy a top coat with real gold when 

I can get a similar look for a fraction of the price using glitter?

This nail polish retails for $30.00

I will not be buying this product because I can spend my $30

on more substantial things.

Do you think this polish is worth the price?

Retro Bikinis

Hey everyone so Retro Bikinis are really in right now

The first time I saw this trend was in the May issue of 

Seventeen Magazine where it was featured.

I think this retro style is a very interesting take on a bikini

and can be very unique.

Its great for people who may be a little more self conscious with their body

and don't want to be prancing around in a string bikini, also for the girls who don't want to show too much skin, this style is great alternative.

It nips in the waist evens out the stomach and the top gives good

support. It has a very classic look that can work on many body types.

Matte Nails: In or Out?

Hey everyone so matte nails seems to be  a trend thats been going around for awhile.

I have heard a lot of talk about it. My opinion on matte nails is undecided.

I think it can look good with certain colours. For example black matte nails look very nice.

I've seen people do designs mixing matte and glossy (like pictured above)

I would say that is my favourite way to rock matte nails. It is trendy but very classic looking.

And a creative take on the classic French manicure.

Home Decor: Chalkboards

Hey everyone so I saw this pic on Tumblr and thought that it was such a cool idea.

Its a chalkboard door!!! how cool is that??

I think it is a cute and fun way to add some personality to a room.

When I saw this pic it gave me inspiration to put one in my bedroom.

You could make this as a door or have a whole chalkboard wall.

Its a great way to keep notes and reminders organized.

It is also an easy DIY project, all you need is some chalkboard paint

that you can get a the hardware store and voila you have some added 

decor to any room.

Review: Maybelline illegal length

Hey everyone today I will be giving a review on the

 Maybelline illegal length fiber extension mascara.

I purchased this product about 2 months ago and was using it everyday for 

about a month and a half, so I could get good usage to review it.

I really do like this mascara it definitely made my lashes long and full, which I loved.

It has a really nice brush that does not clump too much.

But there is a few down sides to it.

First off I found that the actual fiber extensions don't really work that well.

 The ads for this product say it will give your lashes an extra 4 mm of length but I do not find that true.

Secondly the little extensions get all over the place and make all my other makeup dirty.

And thirdly I fond that after using it for so long it started to make my eyelashes fall out :(

So overall I would say that I enjoyed this product but would not recommend 

that you wear it everyday if  you don't want your lashes to fall out.

This trend has been really in this season and is popping up

everywhere. 

Whether it be shoes, jewelry, nail polish

or an entire outfit neon is a fun and fashionable way to show that summer 

is coming.

Home Decor: Tiffany Blue Bedrooms

Hey everyone I've really been into the colour Tiffany Blue recently.

Especially Tiffany blue bedroom themes.

I think its just a gorgeous colour and can be great for any bedroom, and age.

I find it to be a very calming and relaxing colour but it also makes me happy.

I like how it looks paired with black and white for a boutique like vibe.

Its bright without being to obnoxious to the eyes.

I love love love this colour.

Beauty Trend: Fuschia Lips

Hey everyone so Fuchsia lip stick is really in right now.

Its a great look for spring and summer and looks good on all skin tones.

Its been seen in a lot of magazines and on many celebrities.

Its a great way to add a pop of colour to your makeup and looks great against a tan.

I really like this trend and would try it out for sure I think it looks best in a matte formula.

DIY: Strawberry Exfoliant

 

Hey everyone today I will be teaching you how to make a strawberry exfoliant.

 Strawberries are a great natural exfoliant because of the tiny seeds on the outside.

It will help get rid off dry skin and unclog your pores.

Ingredients

Strawberries

Plain yogurt 

Steps

1. Wash your strawberries

2. Mash them up in a bowl

   3. Mix together two equal parts mashed strawberries and plain yogurt.

4. Spread the mixture on your face

5. Gently massage into skin

6. Let it set for a few minutes

7. Rinse with warm water

I think this collection has some really pretty colours.

That I am planning to buy and possibly swatch for this blog.

Fashion Trend: peplum

Hey everyone so I just wanted to mention the peplum trend today.

As pictured above you can see that it comes in the style of dresses and skirts.

I have also seen it in a shirt style which I thinks is gorgeous.

Its very cute and feminine.

I definitely like this trend and think its a great spring/summer look.

Its girly and gives the illusion of an hour glass figure.

It gives a layered affect without the bulkiness of wearing multiple pieces of clothing.

I think it looks good on all body types and would try it out for sure.

If I had a peplum skirt like pictured above I would pair it with a white tank

 a cute pair of flats and a long necklace.

Hey everyone I have really been loving decorative jars recently.

I think they are a great accessory to any room.

You can get them in all different sizes and shapes to fit your style.

You can buy them from a home decor store and you can also make then yourself.

Just clean out an empty food jar or you can use a Mason Jar that you can get at the grocery store

I like to fill them with different things.

For example

Rocks

Pennies

Marbles

or a quote jar that you can fill with little quotes of inspiration.

Nail Wish: Butter London

Hey everyone I am so sorry that I have not been posting recently 

but I had something come up and I did not have access to a computer.

I am back now and will be back to posting everyday.

I will be talking about my nail wish today.

Butter London's Knackered form their spring/summer 2012 line.

I think it is such a gorgeous colour and has a beautiful duo chrome 

of teal and lilac.

This is my current nail polish wish because Butter London polishes

are a bit expensive ($17 for a nail polish really?!?)

I still think it a gorgeous colour and if I were to get it 

it would not be anytime soon.

OPI Not like the movies is a good dupe for Knackered .
